A source close to the British fighter revealed the news to the UK’s number one MMA website earlier today, revealing both parties have already agreed to the fight. It is thought that both Rivera and Sakara had already been approached about a fight with “The Count” prior to UFC 122 last night.
Bisping has put together back-to-back wins inside the octagon after the disappointment of being edged out by Wanderlei Silva on his last trip to Australia, defeating Dan Miller and Yoshihiro Akiyama via unanimous decision.
Rivera has racked up three straight wins inside the octagon and most recently knocked out Nate Quarry at UFC Fight Night 21 in March. The thirty-eight-year-old also defeated Rob Kimmons and Nissen Osterneck. He had hoped to make it four in a row last night before Sakara pulled out through injury.
