Remember the now infamous line uttered inside the UFC Octagon when the challenge was issued ?
“Black on black crime,” was the way Rampage Jackson reported his upcoming contest with Rashad Evans.
The meeting of these two mixed martial artists whets the appetite. Watch the three Primetime shows on my blog over the next two weeks in the build-up to a fight which has divided opinion in the MMA world.
Jackson has been working in Widnes, running in the rain, and grappling alongside Wolfslair Gym training partner Michael Bisping, who fights Dan Miller as the co-main event in Las Vegas on May 29.
Jackson explained: “I miss my family, but I love coming to England. I don’t like the cold or the wet so much but the team here are my people. They know I don’t like training but they know they have to push me and make me do it. Everyone in this gym works damn hard. And they make me work damn hard, which is why you’re gonna see the fittest Rampage ever this month.”  read more »

UFC middleweight contender, Michael “The Count” Bisping has spoken with determination ahead of his showdown in less than two weeks time with Dan Miller at UFC 114 in Las Vegas, Nevada, saying its time to show the world just what he’s made of.

Speaking via ESPN.co.uk recently, Bisping said:

“I never underestimate anybody, and Dan’s a tough opponent, He’s a good submissions artist, a relatively decent striker, he’s a good wrestler and has good cardio so he’s a tough opponent. But I think he’s a good match-up for me. He won’t be able to take me down, I can handle myself on the floor with him, and I’ve got a big advantage in the stand-up department. I’m looking for a knock-out in this fight. “

Bisping also touched upon the recent losses he’s picked up, something that’s made many fans and critics question whether he can cut it at the highest level.  read more »

UFC middleweight contender, Michael “The Count” Bisping has been speaking about his upcoming fight in less than two weeks time against dangerous former IFL stand-out, Dan Miller, saying he believe he’ll be the first person to stop the American in his MMA career.

Speaking via the Daily Star, Bisping said:

“He will be fully motivated to kick my arse and get some credit back, but it isn’t happening. I am going to be the first person to stop Miller. I’m going to beat him up and get back on track.”

On a potential rematch with Wanderlei Silva, a fighter that defeated “The Count” earlier this year when the promotion visited Sydney, Australia for the first time, Bisping said:

“Of course I’d like to fight Wanderlei again. I honestly feel I could have gotten the decision in Sydney, but I was stupid in the last few seconds – he caught me and the judges scored that round against me.  read more »
