myself with Amir Sodallah annd Martin Kampman

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who took the time to send me a message showing there support. It reallly has been overwhelming. I am slowly making my way through them and sending back a reply.
Obviously theres the odd person who sends through messages that aren't too kind. These always make me laugh. Seriously have you not got something better to do with your time other than abusing someone youv'e never met through the internet. Please keep sending them, as I said they always make me laugh, and if you havn't worked it out yet, if thats how you spend your time, the jokes on you!

Brock Lesnar to defend title against Shane Carwin

Submitted by Michael Bisping on Fri, 08/21/2009 - 01:29.

UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will meet Shane Carwin in his second title defense at UFC 106 on Nov. 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Sherdog.com has confirmed the news through several sources with knowledge of the agreement. MMAMadness.com was the first to report on the card shift that will see Carwin move from a scheduled bout against Cain Velasquez at UFC 104.

Carwin has not answered calls for comment, but posted a message on his official Web Site Wednesday night.

“I can't confirm or deny anything. I can just tell you guys that I am training harder then ever and your support and loyalty will carry me through any fight they send my way,” he wrote.

Lesnar, the company’s top pay-per-view draw, had minor surgery after defeating Frank Mir in July, creating uncertainty as to when he would be available to fight again.

His quick recovery allowed the promotion to bring him back in November, but with all of the top heavyweights already scheduled to fight, it was necessary to break up one of those bouts.

Carwin became a buzzworthy suitor for the champion following swift first-round technical knockouts over Neil Wain at UFC 89 and Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 96. Carwin, a 1999 NCAA Div. II wrestling champion, battled back from an early knockdown from the Brazilian to finish Gonzaga with his heavy hands.

Lesnar, 32, unified the heavyweight title and avenged his only loss with a second-round drubbing of former interim champion Frank Mir at UFC 100 last July. Lesnar, a 2000 NCAA Div. I heavyweight champion, won the title against perennial competitor Randy Couture by second-round TKO at UFC 91 last November. It was the former World Wrestling Entertainment star’s fourth professional bout.

mmmm not sure I'll be trying this anytime soon.

Mark Coleman vs. Tito Ortiz on for UFC 106 on November 21st

Submitted by Michael Bisping on Thu, 08/20/2009 - 05:45.

Following weeks of speculation, hints and smack talk, the proposed match up between former UFC light-heavyweight champ Tito Ortiz and former UFC heavyweight champ Mark Coleman has been tacked on for UFC 106 in Las Vegas.

The fight has been on the cards for a number of weeks now, with both Coleman and Ortiz speaking about the fight and about one another. Now a source close to Coleman has disclosed that the pair have agreed to fight at UFC 106 on November 21st.

Coleman recently got back to his winning ways, beating Stephan Bonnar in a unanimous decision at UFC 100. Ortiz however will return to the cage following around an 18 month layoff.

UFC hall-of-famer Chuck Liddell to go "Dancing with the Stars" in September

UFC badass and hall-of-famer Chuck Liddell to go "Dancing with the Stars" in September
We suppose, if nothing else, it'll bring some street cred to ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

UFC superstar and hall-of-famer Chuck Liddell will join 15 other celebrities on the upcoming ninth season of the reality-show competition, which pairs each celebrity with a professional dancer.

Liddell, perhaps not surprisingly, is the first mixed-martial-arts fighter to appear on the highly rated dance program, which debuted in the U.S. in 2005.

"I want to win," the 39-year-old Liddell told UFC.com. "I don't like losing in anything, so I'll work as hard as they'll let me."

Three other athletes will join Liddell this season: former NFL player Michael Irvin, Olympic gold-medalist swimmer Natalie Coughlin and professional snowboarder Louie Vito. The rest of the cast includes singer Aaron Carter, "Iron Chef America" host Mark Dacascos, politician Tom DeLay, singer Macy Gray, actor Ashley Hamilton, actress Melissa Joan Hart, model Kathy Ireland, model Joanna Krupa, actress Debi Mazar, singer Mya, reality star Kelly Osbourne and entertainer Donny Osmond.

Liddell last fought in April, when he suffered a knockout loss to Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 97 in Montreal. It was Liddell's fourth loss in five fights, and his third via knockout during that span.

After the fight, UFC president Dana White said the fighter would enter retirement. But Liddell and his trainer, John Hackleman, have repeatedly stated they haven't shut the door on the fighter's career, and earlier this month at UFC 101 Q&A session with fans, White said he didn't want Liddell fighting again but that he wouldn't stop him if he wants to make a return to the octagon.

Liddell, though, recently said he wouldn't return any sooner than next year, which opened the door for the "Dancing with the Stars" stint.  read more »

17th August 2009

Well as I said in my earlier blog, I'm now in Phuket. Fortunately Im staying at Surin beach (which is beautiful by the way and I would recommend it to anyone) and not Patong. We took a trip down there last night, and quickly exited from what can only be described as a sheer hell. im sure its nice if you like that kind of thing, that kind of thing being filth and food poisoning.
Quick update on the potential Wanderlei Silva fight. Unfortunately thats not gonna happen. He's undergone facial surgery, so obviously won't be fighting in the near future. Rumours are he's actually out for the rest of the year.
So as of right now, Im still unaware of who I'll be facing at UFC 105. Obviously as stated before, when I know, you know.

Check out the video below if you already haven't. Could you imagine trying to break up with one of them? Normally you'd just have to deal with a few tears and maybe feeling guilty, with these two you'd be lucky not to wake up in the hospital.

At the beach with the kids

As some of you are probably already aware, I will be fightin again on November 14th, at the M.E.N Arena in Manchester England.
I can't wait to fight again, and to do it in virtually my home town is gonna be great. The last time I fought there was definately one of the high points of my career. The atmosphere was without doubt the best Ive ever witnessed at a UFC event.

Regarding my opponent, nothing has been confirmeed yet. My managger has spoken with the UFC and we should have a name soon. There has been a number of names floating around on the internet, but until yyou read it here, it aint true!

As I said Im in Malaysia at the moment with the family, but I fly to Thailand tommorow. I'm gonna go to some Thai Boxing gyms and start my training early. It seems a shame to be in tis part of the world and not check a gym out. I trained in Thailand in 2004 and 2005 and gained alot from the expeerience, althhough some of the publiic toilets put me off a swift return lol.

The pic above is me and the kids at the beach.
Seeya!
